Imagine owning a Manhattan triplex... that floats! Extra Yachts has just unveiled its latest creation, a stunning 130-foot superyacht that redefines luxury on the water. The X130 Triplex, poised to become the flagship of the Triplex line, isn't just a yacht; it's a statement. Think of it as a floating mansion, a testament to opulent living with breathtaking ocean views from every 'room.'
Extra Yachts, known for pushing boundaries, has expanded its already impressive lineup with this new marvel. The X130 Triplex boasts a spacious three-deck layout, complete with a bonus sundeck and a mezzanine deck – creating a truly expansive and versatile living space. It’s essentially a three-story apartment designed for the high seas, offering unparalleled comfort and style for its fortunate owners and guests.
The exterior, masterfully crafted by Studio Agon, seamlessly blends soft, flowing lines with bold, geometric shapes, a signature of the Extra Yachts aesthetic. This fusion creates a visually striking profile that’s both elegant and powerful. But the real magic happens inside.
Laura Brocchini Design brought the voluminous 397 GT interior to life, meticulously balancing light, materials, and movement to create an atmosphere of serene sophistication. The goal was to ensure that every space felt both luxurious and inviting, a haven from the everyday. And this is the part most people miss: it's not just about expensive materials; it's about how they harmonize to create an emotional experience.
The aft section of the X130 Triplex is arguably its most captivating feature. The mezzanine deck, elevated 35 inches above the main deck and positioned behind a striking sculptural fireplace, offers two distinct lounge areas with panoramic views of the decks below. Picture yourself relaxing here, sipping cocktails as the sun sets over the horizon. Directly beneath this elevated haven lies an open-air beach club. With fold-down platforms, this space transforms into roughly 645 square feet of prime waterfront real estate, suspended directly above the shimmering water. A storage area, a swim platform, and a tender garage are conveniently located nearby, allowing for easy access to water toys and exploration.
Stepping inside, the main deck salon is bathed in natural light and features two inviting semicircular sofas and a grand 10-seater dining table, perfect for entertaining guests. Moving forward, you'll find a fully equipped galley, a welcoming lobby, and the owner's suite, complete with an office, vanity, walk-in wardrobe, and a luxurious en suite bathroom. But here's where it gets controversial... Some argue that the upper deck's panoramic views are even more desirable for the primary suite. The option exists to transform the upper deck into a private owner’s deck, featuring a sprawling primary suite aft.
The lower deck is thoughtfully designed to accommodate family and friends, with four double cabins: two VIP suites and two twin cabins. Three crew cabins, accommodating six crew members, are also located on this level, ensuring seamless service and comfort for everyone on board. The captain’s cabin, strategically positioned near the helm on the upper deck, provides optimal command and control.
The upper deck also features a spacious salon with a stylish bar and an alfresco lounge, perfect for enjoying the sea breeze. Ascending to the sundeck, you'll discover a panoramic lounge, a 12-seater dining table, a well-stocked bar, and a breathtaking sea-facing infinity pool, flanked by comfortable sunbeds. A rigid T-Top provides protection from the elements, allowing you to enjoy this sky-high oasis year-round.
In terms of power, the X130 Triplex is equipped with two robust 2,000 hp MAN engines, delivering a top speed of 16 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 14 knots. This ensures both exhilarating performance and smooth, efficient cruising.
Extra’s Triplex line currently includes four models, ranging from 93 to 130 feet. Upon its launch, the new X130 will undoubtedly take its place as the flagship, representing the pinnacle of luxury and innovation within the Extra Yachts fleet.
So, what do you think? Is this the ultimate expression of maritime luxury, or are there other yachts that better capture the essence of 'floating mansion' living? And more importantly, would you choose the main deck or the upper deck for your primary suite? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
